Raids and day frequency
FYI Raids by default are set on Medium both for difficulty and frequency. This means you will be raided at least once per in game year and the raiders will always have better gear than you. Why raiders with better gear and equipment feel the need to steal my mud and twigs I have no idea but they must be really desperate.

There is no way to change the time period. so far I have played 3 in game years by sleeping for 15 nights. I think that it's 7 days or so per year. I'd rather play 7 days a month but there is no setting for that as far as I can see.

I'm wondering if anyone has seen anything regarding the Early Access road map?

Please note I don't want to hear anything coming from anyone about this companies previous games. I'm only interested in this game.

Raids actually don't come in a set period of time. Raid threat is accumulated over time on different actions like fighting bandits or expanding your settlement.

You always have multiple options how to handle them. Even just having Lubomir and giving him a weapon, then switching him to companion or guard is often enough to defend against an early raid. You could also build fences around your village to make the raiders come from a narrow space and use a bow, and so on.

Letting the raid win is also not a bad strategy if you're just starting out and don't have much to lose, as your raid threat won't be increasing this way.

By the way, you can change your difficulty settings even while playing until you build up a little and get a stronger defense, and we'll keep working on this mechanic to balance it further.

If you have any more specific suggestions or questions about it, feel free to write!

If combat is hard for you, use a bow. Much easier.

Lubo is trash tier, he's only there for starter as a crafter/researcher. What I did was disabled raid at the start, hired 2 villagers with Stalwart (combat) stat, kit them with spike club + shield, and fill up their cloth slot. Now me (DPS) and my crew (Tank) just wipe out any small bandit camps out there. 3 vs 7 duel becomes easy.

Raid threat % really makes me feel like its a chance daily. Instead of a meter to fill to 100% before it happens. I think that should be fixed and more clear. Sneaking needs to be a thing, Deers are crazy OP with sight. Attack Animations are a bit off from bandits, making it hard for most players to be able to handle melee combat, leading a lot of players to use Bows, which is WAY easier in comparison. Bow feels fine, melee needs some love lol. otherwise 10/10 game.

Just kite them to the nearest village. The 2-handed sword guards there one shot them.

I think you do sneak a bit when you notch an arrow, I seem to have more luck getting close with a bow if I right click first to bring up the reticle then move forward. You can even see your player crouch a bit.

Frankly, if they do add crouch/sneak, I hope it's not stupidly over powered like it is in most games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66oyL15H_DA

I cant see the problem. Unless this is your first time in one of these games it should be impossible to fail. I got raided Day 5. I just had 2 trash tier guards with axe and shield that tock em out easily... Got raided again at day 8 by then i had a bow and arrow. Got raided by 4 my 2 guards held them whil i hot them in the back... Easy peasy. Seems like a skill issue not a game issue :D
