Hunting deer

Do I just suck or are the deer seemingly impossible to hunt/kill? Spend an hour and 30 arrows just chasing the same deer around that I couldn't kill because I was spotted long before I saw the deer and right back to the chasing game.

Yep, quite a silly bug, just needs to be kept in mind. Worse with rocks, bridges, buildings, those can block interaction with dead deer, bandits altogether. For the moment best to not kill anything near those, if possible.

Hunting deer is incredibly frustrating at archery < 3.
At 3 you have accurate enough aim to be ABLE to aim for the head instead of "to whom it may concern".

I am at Archery 2 and I can hit 8 out of 10 shots with headshot on deer. it is easy, because they freeze and look at you.
You just need to aim high enough, depening on range, in order to properly hit the head and not the shoulders.

Hunting dear is so easy now, dont know if its because of the archery lvl 3, but its way too easy to ckear the map now, have to travel a lot to find any more now 😁

It always easy, it diffcult cause many ppl dont want training their skill, they just want go fast

move around the open field, deers often go through those places. I Recommend the spot in craftman hut between Padstow and Haerdean. Snipe the deer with headshot, it oneshot kills the deer.
Hope not to depress you, but wait till you hunt crows for feathers.

Its easy to hunt them, just make sure not to be seen by the deer and aim abit above their head depending on how far you are from it, I've killed plenty of rabbits, wolves, deer, and boars. To me the real challenge are the birds xD I only got 2 killed ever and I hope to be able to get more killed. So just time and practice, if it makes you mad, do something else and have trappers kill rabbits for abit until you are able to try again, Cause hunting ain't suppose to be easy really

I just kill the chickens. Much easier than shooting birds. Then I make up the faction hit.

Funny story... I've killed 3 crows and 0 deer lol.. I swear they sense you a mile away.. and IF i do manage to get close enough I have not figured out the head-shot yet.. so I get shoulder/body lol.. it's ok though.. I understand it's supposed to be a bit challenging at first.

-ive killed 30+ deer, there is a "walk" feature that is the sit in for crouch walking or "stealth"

-someone stated something about seeing the arrow trail better, hes right that would help alot of people.

-get gud

-hunting deer is hard so why not look for boars?
