Healer???

Is the any actual reason to get one?.....? I got one from bradford while its was liberated but to be honest I dont really see the point in hiring one, I'm in mid t2 game is one needed later into the game..... is there a healing station coming soon or anything?

Healers often had good special attributes (resilient i think) in my game, making them good companions.
The only thing they bring to the table is the ability to research and make healing salves, a better quick healing item. Although, if you regularly travel around the swamp you can farm way more than you'll ever need from the tougher bandit groups.

I have watched other people stream the game on twitch and when they go out to fight they take the healer with them supplied with bandages and healing salve. I am not sure if this actually works because I have never tried it but other people seem to think that's what a healer does.
