The biggest hack in this game is utilizing a million unpaid peasants to gather and craft for ya. Speed run feudalism!
Yup! This was a super big problem for me to until I found a few guides on 'Automation' of Outposts. There is an easy to follow step by step guide here on steam if you like. If you want something more visual check out Youtube. Just do EXACTLY as it says. Literally an infinite supply of whatever you like - day to day.
I'd first start with food, then wood, then 2-3 farms, then metals.
After you get your automated food outpost I would get, what I call, Tier 2 peasants. The unmarked and unnamed peasants whose stats are just above the beggers but have no speciality. Once you get your food outpost up you'll be able to get apx 20 of those dudes running around. Eventually you'll have trouble finding stuff for them to do (set up a couple of farms with 5-6 water collectors and 2-3 compost piles). At this point I'd dump all my gold into seeds. Farming is easy to level up on your dudes.
After this you should get the hang of 'automating outposts' and should skyrocket in production.
