Add spear or non-tool two hand weapon
Tool hybrid weapon make villager lose their weapon at work station luckely most iconic single hand weapon like war hammer or combat axe have pure weapon version for us to pick, but most two-hand weapon is tool hybrid and the only non-tool one is pitchfork which have poor panel and had to be abandon very early unless you don't want to progress the game at all.

Polearms are the king of the battlefield, game feels odd being dressed up like a super medieval setting yet everyone only fighting with sidearms. I'm sure polearms are coming, but it's probably a challenge to balance, polearms outclass pretty much every weapon in the game significantly. It'd be hard to justify using anything else.

I think that polearm are necessary in a game like this. Do you think they will be included in a patch? How can you let the developers know that the player community is interested in this addition?

They are very active in discord and have a feed back section where you can list what you want and up-vote others.

I mean I thought we had some... the 2h axe might be a "tool" but they don't use it as a tool if there is real tools. Also isn't there a 2h hammer? I forgot? I know there is 2h axes... Also spears really should be their own weapon class one they are easier to use and learn its why they are militia fave, but they don't really got anythign to do with a 2h axe or hammer. Just feels weird if I can use a 2h axe I am suddenly good at a spear...

Like its good suggestion but seems like it needs a ton more to it, like it should get its own personal update that ads the spear skill with it...

How would this not be cheesing? Its a spear not a magic sceptor, they still sorrund you while you thrust. I think you thinking about bostaff or something else like fantasy games where you use the shaft of the spear and do same exact damage as the tip wich makes no sense but looks cool but you really just using staff with a weight on the end that would make it harder to do that crap with.

Like one spear vs 4+ wouldn't be a good idea ever. now 6 people with bad combat skill with spears vs 4 bandits who got skills this is great idea. Spears are not magic minus hunting or 1v1 they only work in group combat when you got them in bulk and do a spear wall sigh.

Also bandits would have them too as again spear is most basic weapon on earth, so it would be 4+ so should be like 1-2 spears in that group so as you thrusting at one you should 3 more trying to bum rush you and surrond you now with their own spears. Like I get it in conan an other games 1v1 spears feel like god mode because reach. Like MOE is like that till you get 2 or more with spears poking you back and then its not longer OP...

You answered your own question in the end there :)

With spear i could actually be in melee fighting 4+ by simply outranging most of the incoming blows instead of effectively getting stunlocked in their melee range.

Not quite the same as sitting 100 meters away picking them off one by one. Kiting to have them leash, abusing ther AI. I generally don't do this btw.. in fact i hardly even fight bandit groups that size unless with companions.

what i actually want is more combat with bandits instead of jumping at wolves and boars because there is nothing else balanced to fight.

if i bring companions they are doing the tanking and i still don't get to do any fighting.

This might be a bit of a spoiler but staves have always been something we've wanted to have (polearms were a big part of that time period) but of course the combat is still being reworked at the moment so they'll wait until they have a solid system before adding another variable like that. I'm pretty confident they will come in down the road but for now, it's not in the near-future.
