Villager Recruitment Question
Do villagers rotate or static. As in so I have to recruit some trash villager, kick them out of my village for their home village to spawn a new villager?

Once you recruit a villager, a new villager will spawn in the villasge you recruited them. When your trust goes up with a village, you will be able to recruit "better" villagers. So you will over time "release" villagers to get renown back and then replace them with better ones. Quality is a lot more important than numbers when it come to fighting.

Each time you start a new game the villagers are randomized with RNG. The name and stats will vary each play through. Ofc to a degree, you won't get 10/10 guy on day one.

So what happens when you recruit someone from a town? That spot is freed up and replaced with a new randomized villager. Not sure exactly on the time frame, maybe a day or a week?

So you can do several things you can dismiss a worker all together, a worker can be killed, a worker can leave your village, or you can just go back some time later to where you recruited said worker and find a new person of the same type walking around for hire.

I hired two workers from the Padstow, few days maybe I went back doing quests and seen workers walking around I never seen before. This means that the towns always have a pool for you to hire from, so if you remove said worker from the pool it auto gens a new one after so long.

I hope this helps in some way, shape, or form.

So I do have to recruit trash ones then kick them for new ones to appear? Im at tier 3, but my two laborers, innkeeper, and one guard all have 4 str 4 agi which is too low I need at least a 5 in agi or a 6 in str but no laborers/innkeepers have those currently.

what i mean is can I recruit and IMMEDIATELY kick a villager to get a new spawn. Or do these recruit have to stay in my town for a bit?

OR can I just kill a bunch of villagers and wait for respawn? I killed three vilalgers, non quest givers and the whole village is RED DOTTED, so they stay this way?

No just wait for about three in game days for the aggro to reset and you can return to said town. Like we said, once you recruit the pool opens up for a new random gen worker to spawn where you recruited from.

Well i just recruited 11 of the worst villagers I have ever seen (0 str and 1 agi... seriously???) with some of my 131,000 Reknown. Now to wait for some repops. Come on female honeys. yes females, as my village fo 9 male 10 female has only 4 gawd awful females with 3 str, I need at least 6 str or 5 agi. *crosses fingers*

I tested it an hired 5 women from Heanstead. I let them follow me 200 m away from the village and I dismissed them. They walked back to the village... hopefully their "place" in the village will be replaced now with new characters - hopefully the apprentice ones.^^

The villagers you expel go back to their original town with exactly what they had equipped when you expel them. So if they are stripped bare then that's what they walk around town in even in winter lol

I solved the problem now by killing them. Each day I went in another village and buy me there the best apprentice people. All other people there who could be hired with low stats got hired too, but then directly killed 100 meters away from the village. I know how this sounds,^^ :( but sadly at the current state of game programming we have no other option to get new (hopefully) better workers...

I know it is cruel, maybe it is time for a good mod!

This is what I tired to do but now Farnsworth has 9 Alexander Heatons in it walking around. Luckily I got a random weaver with 6 str, 9 agi and 10 bow, along with a 6 str, 9 two handed weapon alexander heaton.

to the devs: if I kill them myself they should stay DEAD and not repop in the village.

I'm curious how it works next.
Let's say you recruit a villager. This leaves a free space in the neutral village for a new villager to appear.
If you throw away the first villager and then, let's say, recruit the second one (who appeared new), will a new one appear again, or does the game see it as an excess of one villager and no one new will appear.
I'm just wondering about the possibility of resetting villagers to get someone with better stats. Kicking a villager restores renown, but if he was allowed to die, I doubt that renown would return (I haven't tested it yet).
