Manor Lord is a city builder/pop management at core, with some "total war" like combat slapped on. A more fancy version of a game like Banished.
I agree with your reply overall (although I personally tend towards Bellwright's combat as 'janky' rather than 'janky AF'), but I just wanted to clarify that MD has long since left EA.

MD is the only complete and fully released game of the three, but that's not to say it isn't still receiving updates:

OP: If you enjoy Bellwright, i'd definitely give Medieval Dynasty a shot.
I've spent a fair amount of time in MD, though I haven't returned to it for a while. Bellwright strongly reminds me of the game to the point that i'm thinking of checking it out again when my interest in Bellwright wanes.
Manor Lords had me with its cool character creation and coat of arms system, and I was enthusiastic until the actual city builder-style gameplay had me bored.
I recently bought Soulmask (because base building and open world survival / craft is my thing) and it still hasn't lured me away from Bellwright.
If only MD and Bellwright would merge and have a baby.
