Please configure EVERY food type in Foraging Hut!!!!

For the love of GOD, PLEASE PLEASE add the DRIED berries and mushrooms to the priority list!!! So I can limit them, or outright NOT have any!

I do "want" them to gather mushrooms to make OTHER foods with... I have totally ditch those recipes now, because they put every mushroom and berry they gather on the drying racks!!

I DON'T WANT dried berries and mushrooms!

Set storage limits for dried foods on your storages, they will still place berries and mushrooms on the drying racks but won't put them in storage, thereby stalling the drying of all your food.

Yep limiting the storage is not perfect but is better than having a full barn of dried/smoked mushrooms and no regular ones for cooking. Try and find a balance for your population.

I've got 50+ hours in the game and never paid enough attention to see the "specify amount" for each item.

It will pile up in the storage of the foraging hut though.

One has to admit they do work very fast on the drying racks and most of the time they remember to take them off unless they have gone to bed :)

I cook during the night time hours, my character never sleeps. I am the COOK. Nobody else is allowed to waste wood err I mean cook. It's how I navigate this currently. I think I had four or five cooking by day ten on my new game. I should be a chef soon...

I don't use the drying racks at all. I set them to 0 priority, just as I done with the smoker. Or else I won't end up with any mushrooms what so ever to use for like fine stew, mushroom stew etc. Which mean I have to use the smokers myself to toss meat on though.

My workers and buildings/storages have more zero's than anything else.

You can turn off the drying part of the foraging hut so they don't do it

Press N, select the buildings tab, find the Foraging Hut and you will see the 3 x Forager Rack's as sub options. You can set the Priority to disabled

Ah! Thanks mate! I didn't know that area had different options than listed on the "manage" directly on the building.

I'm thinking they need to sync the two areas together. Thanks again

Welcome. It would be easier if you could do it in both places but at least you know how you can now ;-)
