You may want to check this place out for copper (if/until they change things). North West corner of the map.

That's something I wish most people in this community understood,
Being able to play the game endlessly is pretty much already possible if you play "correctly", intentionally limiting player choice to prevent it is what's unnecessary.
Like the bandit camp example I mentioned previously. Camps already have a flag system to give players the choice to clear them or not, the devs don't have to then make camps auto-clear to remove that choice from players. If it really is too much of a hardship for people to just walk up to the flag and press F, then leave an option to turn it off at least.
In terms of resources, copper becomes obsolete further into T2 anyway so not really a problem, but iron could become a problem later down the line. Trading is a good long-term solution but you have to conquer to trade. The only settlement that trade iron is Horndean, which is the last settlement I would want to take and hold on to.
I have worked around the problem by formulating new long-term plans that would include Horndean in my permanent holdings (or I just go with mods) but, I don't see the problem with ideas like T3 pits providing endless supply. It won't fundamentally change the game, it would just provide more options and solutions in the late-game. And more reason to build and defend them.
Just realized this and I would have to agree, this is a game breaker for me. I stopped playing because of the trees and restarted once you can regrow but now this.
Yea you can make outposts for ores just like we were doing for logs but to make something a PITA just because you wanna make something a PITA doesn't make good game design.
I like the game but agree it's just unnecessary. Dev's you could just make the ore nodes unlimited as an option.
OMG! I need to find this! lol
[Edit] If you setup a mining camp here on your youtube vids... I get a shoutout. LMAO! jk ;)
I've watched some of your vids. They're great, as always
Cheers! [/edit]
Honestly I have no actual complains at this time. I try to learn without reading up on anything. most of my problems arise from player error.
this is probably the most impressive game I've ever seen. for this much content in an EA game. Hell of a job by the developer
That is why you have villagers to do such mundane and boring tasks for you.
My idea would be: You can choose a explored place on the map for an Outpost. Then choose the purpose of it, and the people setting it up and staying there, and it will be done automatically.
Hell, i wanna LEAD these people, not do ALL their work... After 50 hours i was exhausted. That much exhausted, that i never came back. After the next big patch i will give it another go, but this game desperately needs QOL-Stuff like that!
