Apprentice Problem
So I liberated 2 towns to get some apprentices, at the first one I did get a apprentice blacksmith, but that was except to the weaver the only one I could hire there and I had no use for the weaver for the beginning so I did not hire that one.

So I liberated the second village Padstow and got me a carpenter and a woodworker. The woodworker was useful, because I can now craft that higher level bow, but all the other apprentices were useless for me because I can't get leather dried and I can't get anywhere an apprentice labourer that I would need to research the leather drying rack.

The carpenter could build a new townhall which unlocks new buildings. But for that research he needs 20 dried leather. Without that rack no new townhall and no new buildings. So I am stuck on that.

You would think an apprentice labourer should be everywhere available, but I am just not up for liberating the next village to get me one.
I tried it with building about 7 or 8 houses in the first village I liberated, but not even one apprentice spawned in. This is rediculous. Why don't they spawn in at all? Especially the apprentice labourer should do that, shouldn't they?

You can find Apprentice labourer in Farnworth. Seems a bit silly since raw leather blocks a lot of T2 research. He should be in Padstow and the Carpenter in Farnworth.

TIP: if you're not strong enough yet to take the 3rd village, you can let the brigards claim one of the two you already took, so the threat level drops after.

Thanks Nihilus, I think I might do that, just sad that I did build so many houses in Haerdean for nothing at all! I think they should just give us the possibility to buy that dried leather at any trader!

Don't build houses, they do nothing from what I can tell. Build gardens, they are way cheaper and give you +300 points with that village.

I did that too, but only to gain trust.

Gardens? Build Shrines. They only give 75 reputation but cost only 15 stone and theres stone near every village easy available :D

Also, at the moment after building them, just tear them down and use the returned mats to build a new one. Reputation stays.

Houses are useless. Aswell is the Archery the Excercise place etc. They literally do nothing really. dont waste your time at the moment. Build shrines until you are 500 away from bellwright then liberate. You get 500 rep for liberation.

Also you can let the brigands take the towns back if you dont like trading with them. The reclaiming parties get smaller then.

Apprentice worker can be found in Farnworth. Crasmere and Horndean aswell if i am not mistaken.

Liberating Bradford opens up raw hide for trade. I went went Bradford for my 2nd liberation. Lets you get access to T2 armor without scaling up the Brigand difficulty too much. Then I went Farnsworth for my 3rd to get the laborer. IMO, only reason to do Padstow before Bradford and a Farnsworth is if you want that sweet log trading everyday sooner (essentially unlimited wood supply).

Oh thanks Sid that is good to know :)

A hunter building you can get at t2 with ZERO apprentice needed gets you all the hide you want. Also Farnsworth trades rawhide as well, and has the laborer. Honestly farns kind should be your number 2 liberated village.

And reminder to all you can actually let them reclaim them to lower brigand threat idid Farn got the innkeeper, and laborer then let them take the town back. And in meantime I traded for a tone of rawhide but now I product it on my own like crazy just 2 drying racks and I almost got too much rawhide now...

I need leather, not hide ;)

Again I think saddly farns should be taken first, they won't trade it but they got the Laborer and honestly you don't got to keep it so I just saved up enough renown secured it, liberated it, then hired the innkeeper, the laborer and then let them take it back. Like to me the innkeeper and the laborer beat anything in padstow for second town to claim because I can now store food in cellars and I can make all the leather and rawhide i need...

Combine that with the smith and weaver from first town and you kind set to start gearing up so the brigands are easier.

Good news, Bradford also trades leather.

That is great, I only saw the boar hide and the wolves hide there, but I did not liberate them. If they now even had a apprentice labourer I would go for the liberation :D
