Use tanning racks instead (not the drying ones for raw hide), I don't think the hut is supposed to have the leather crafting option anymore, racks made it obsolete in an earlier update.

Simply build 5x fur drying racks directly behind each other or 10 pieces,
It's much quicker than making the Grude wool yourself and is also 1 skin cheaper..,
Making your own Grude wool costs 3 x class 3 fur,
and therefore only 2x fur class 3
