Can hunters eventually hunt boars ?

I have a hunters hut set to only hunt boars with a hunter at Lv 5.5 and level 2 equipment but he dies every single time.

Does anyone have any advice

I have to hunt boars myself .... boring as heck as the only ones I know off are in a stupid location. Tried hunters with tier 2 stuff ... they all die.

I'm literally in my 3rd hour of running around and didn't see a single boar. Get "boaring" after a while.

I spent at least 30 game days looking for tusks can't go on because I can't finish a quest. Just seems unbalanced

Don't give up. There are plenty of boars. Mostly on the outer part of the map.

Just un-track that quest and work on others. You'll eventually stumble on one (many) and have plenty boar tusks.

That quest won't hold you back from doing other quests.
If you still have trouble after a while, I can mark the map where to find some.

According to this other here Boars are totally random, It's the only quest remaining to be able to liberate horndean.

Not giving up though. Just cheesing rabbit and deer to up my hunting Lv

Only let the high bow and agility ones hunt and load them with plenty of arrows . i got over 1k feathers and i only shot down 1 , and it was pure luck! LOL

For boars you want your hunters at Archery and Agility 3 at least. The game doesnt have any kind of feature where hunters specifically try for headshots especially for the first shot. So, they need to be able to get off minimum 2 more shots once the boars charge.

Well.. having your hunters hunt boars... you better have them armored and with good melee weapons/skills too.

There's a boar spot up behind the Exiled Hunter (north east part of the map next to the pond)
Also, there's one spawns over by the waterfall.

after dedicating 32 game days and 48 boars I finally got 2 tusk. Seems a tad much.

I found a spot with lots of boars, was there once in a while, then all of a sudden there are no more boars at that spot. Might spawns move? or they take a break? ..... dunno
