Using food Buffs to Enhance Skill Books
OK i think i have figured out how the skill book enhancement with food works. Using Cloudberry and Fish Soup or Apples you can get a buff or a combined buff. Not sure yet. You eat the food first and then read the book. That seems to be what to do but i am not 100 percent sure. It appears if you do all three you MAY get a combined buff. And it does appear to me you can only do one book at a time, not rush thru a lof of them.

There are several places to get some of these foods but I dont want to spoil people about that part. Couldberries can be found quite close to the start town but i wont say more than that as it was quite a surprise to me.

Confirmations or other interpretations or how this works very welcome as I would like to upgrade my character as this is NOT an easy game and help helps a lot! I would like to be able to protect my villagers I am quite fond of them.
thanks in advance

You only need the food buffs up at the end of the reading process, it's when you actually receive the experience. No need for the food buffs at the start or while in the process.
I got my strength to 10 this way because high level strength books are rare, and I'm already farming T3 bandits. I usually use cloudberries (50%), fish stew (20%), and cranberries (30%), for a total of 100% bonus experience.
