Animal Farming?

Will we be able to farm / care for animals? My wife saw a cow and a chicken and was like buy this game, but only if we can care for them!

Would be cool, but ofc high case scenario they would be slaughtered for village consumption and material gathering

well yes, we dont want to keep them as PETS, but it would be a good way of getting hide / pelts / feathers / eggs

I've really been hoping for farmable chickens particularly to help with getting feathers. That would be a very helpful upgrade.
