Have all your workers set to prioritize construction, and use your war crew to mass harvest in between questing, and grinding bandits. If you turn a large group loose on a single piece of ore they will immediately find, and collect every piece of that ore lying on the ground in the vicinity. It's a lot faster than mining when you can find a rich area..
That or don't listen to any advice, solo the game without a crew and use the multiple cheese factors available. But, people are going to have an exercise in frustration if they expect this game to be like a lot of other games. Sure it has M&B, and Kenshi flavors, but it's unique enough in it's own right, that it takes a new approach to appreciate what they are trying to accomplish here.
Give it some time if you're getting frustrated and try slowing down in your expectations. Turn off raids, let towns revert after you liberate the professionals you need. I spent close to a week in real time early into my game, to let it run through the night to complete builds while I slept. I don't do that anymore because I'm holding 3 towns and working on my 4th now.
Bellwright has more appeal than just a new type of game similair to M&B, Kenshi, or SB2. Don't let your expectations ruin the experience.
you're ranting at the completely wrong post. Also this seems to be a common issue. So don't use the `you`standard for everything. It is a large group that is complaining about such things. It's not a minority - so at elast have the decencies tor espect that other have other preferences and likings - no need to rant at a random palce.
I think the common theme here is that people don't want to spend hours performing tedious and menial tasks. If you did, you would probably be shampooing your carpet instead of playing Bellwright. Obviously, the goal of designing a fun and challenging game is to balance the difficulty in such a way that your time inside the game is neither too bland or too boring. Denying fast travel with companions, or imposing a low yield rate of resources in a co-operative game may or may not alienate the target audience. It's not an MMO, but there are times when I get the feeling that the developers think it is, or had wanted it to be, because the game does not respect your time.
I think people are commenting on their frustration and their experience with THIS game without comparing it to other games. Nobody else here compared it to other games, except...
Oh, that's right. It was you.
I think their experience is ruining their experience.
2. not every one's idea of "balanced" is the same a ton of people don't mind it as is.
3. I said a million times there is UNLIMITED supplies of bars from trading with towns, wood is getting a forester hut one day no idea when.
4. you don't have to we all played other games and get what you are refering to sigh. YOu want it like other games, its pretty common thing to say and complain about.
5. I 100% agree its your expectations from other games ruining your experince also its EA so this is all place holder, and at 1.0 its not guaranteed to be the same as right now sigh. Want finished polish game buy the FINISHED POLISHED GAME sigh.
This is my first comment on these forums. Why are you acting like we've spoken before?
These are three examples of ad hominem arguments you made against me as though I've argued any of these points. You should probably read what I've said again, because not a single point you've argued has any relationship with what I've said. Keep in mind, I like the game. However, there are some objective criticisms here where the game's design choices cripple the experience. Therefore, I stated:
This is not a comparison to another game. THIS game is not perfect. Observing things that need to be improved is not holding it up to some other standard. It's rating this game objectively for what it is. Yes, it's Early Access. That's also why it's important to objectively state where it is failing to try to bring attention to what needs to be fixed. For example, FORESTRY. The devs are working on it now after seeing feedback from the playerbase. It's not an indictment of the developers that trees weren't regrowing. It's an observation. Yet here I am being lambasted for making a single comment on these forums because you FEEL like you've heard this before. Therefore, I asked:
And you replied:
This is actual brainrot. If you've heard these arguments before, it's probably because they're OBJECTIVE criticisms of something the game could do better. However, you have not heard or seen me comment, so don't pretend to know what it is I'm saying or how I'm going to say it. I LIKE THE GAME. I do think this is an area where it needs improvement, however.
Whatever, either you didn't read it or your reading comprehension sucks.. It's completely relevant to the post. No need to rant about ill perceived "ranting" either, but I'm fine if you do it..
I think you know you lost your self respect when you have to fake quote someone with an overture to being mentally disabled. Can't respond to the substance of the post? Don't comment at all. There's no reason to take a discussion in this direction.
Distractions aside, this was a really good suggestion. I hope the developers consider it. Thanks, OP.
