I hope Bellwright does well, truly, but DC has been burning through good will like a forest fire on a windy day.
Don't buy into any early access if they go that route.
Wait until the game is out and see what they do.
Devs do need to be vocal here, i think its good for players.
They have good ideas, but have issues executing them. Of kings and men, last oasis.
Maybe the approach to a single player game vs a multiplayer one will be what they need to get off the ground and redeem themselves.
That's the optimist talking, I'm still reserved to spend more money on their games until they release a finished product.
*edit*
Okam was incredibly fun, but there was issues between them and the publisher from
What I remember. Shame the game never got where they wanted it to be.
LO would still be an active game today had the developers just addressed the 2 major things killing the game with the games existing mechanics. LO would still be a populated game if Clan cap was smaller, if clan caps on tiles were severely enforced and if they had PVE tiles. BAMM!!! ...easy fix.
Plus there was the flop they had prior to LO, lets not forget that.
So what will be different this time around? Well for one its a PVE game so it wont attract most of the player base LO had. After that you can probably expect another abandoned game in a few years.
I thoroughly enjoyed Bellwright demo although there were a couple of issues that need to be polished. Was sad that they took the demo down, but can't wait for the release of the full game. Keep up the good work Donkey Crew!
Fingers crossed DC can get this running, I had a lot of fun in Last Oasis for the first 2 years.
What happens if they fool you three times?
But it's funny watching you cry about asking the dev to bring back the demo or release an EA abandonware. Same way we are just asking the Devs to send a note about the faite of their previous title.
Just be patient, you'll get an answer in ~6months, that's their average response time.
