on caracther creation, get spell absorption and stack intellect. once you get out of pirate hold run strait into the mages guild, pull and old mans beard and ask him for the fireball spell, the area of effect one.

if the target is in close range; cast fireball, it will do dammige too both of you, but becouse of spell absorption you get the excect ammount of mana back without taking any dammige.

this means you can cast fireball infinitly and as fast as you can press the quick select and fire button :D

who needs mana potions anyway?!

Casting aoe damage spells at your feet is the old school way of mana regen in Daggerfall.

Personally I like the basic magic regen mod and spell reflection but in the old days I 'bumped myself back up to near full mana' with that self-inflicted aoe dmg on spell absorption.

Spell Absorption also comes in a spell form and as an enchantment.
