The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall

The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall

Weird issue right out the gate. Help?
For some reason when I first opened the game, the screen was slightly off center. And a small sliver of it wasn't even visible. This is pretty annoying, because when I went to choose my home province, I couldn't read the whole description for the different races (Which is a freakin' awesome way of picking your race by the way).

Is this a common problem at all? I'll probably uninstall and reinstall right after I submit this and hope that does something.

This is my first time playing a REALLY old game like this, so I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing honestly.

Your screen resolution is probably too high, try playing it in a window instead?

Is it on steam? I searched it up but nothing showed up.

You can follow this guide by the developers to use Daggerfall Unity with the Steam release of the game: https://github.com/Interkarma/daggerfall-unity/wiki/Using-Steam-Release-of-Daggerfall-with-Daggerfall-Unity

... except that DFU is different from Daggerfall in many respects (for better or worse is a matter of opinion - I play both, for different reasons).
I don't tell players to play one or the other - just be aware that they are different games.

Regarding the original problem: Has this been solved meanwhile? Did re-installing help? You could also try the GOG or DaggerfallSetup version.
Did you change the DOSBox configuration in any way? If I remember correctly, it is set to adapt to the monitor resolution - but I don't know if this works for very large monitors, too.
Have you tried to run it in a window (like Zsrai suggested)?
