I can't believe anybody actually finished this for real without prior knowledge that it was possible. The first person must have looked in the game files or something....Bethesda wasn't some kinda big name back then either...and the game (where I lived, had no press coverage) I just kinda stumbled onto it in a shop. I think my first quest was a mages guild quest to find some fairy hair or whatever in a huge dungeon and I could never find it. The way the main quest works is craxy too: There was no way to know back then that you simply had to wait until you where level 3 to receive some letter or whatever. You would go to castle Daggerfall click on all the royals and nothing would come of it.
Maybe it is the mods I am using but I leave a recall at Medora every time...
Also if you get tired of too much challenge there are mods and console commands that make the game (too) easier.
Anyway, how do you get out of Direnni tower after you recall to Medora?
a console command called tele2exit get me to the exit
(a mod for language skills and another for training allows me to recruit that lich as a follower, and I have had that lich kill my follower lich but I just recruited him after)
There is another console command called tele2qmarker that makes many quests a breeze you just go into the dungeon and type that in and it goes right to the spot, on top of the item or near any enemy you are looking for.
There are other commands for getting any armor or weapon set, get all of the artifacts, do enchanting and spell making without joining the mages guild. Some console commands, such as fastflying, take a mod for useful console commands
Those dungeons get rather boring too much hallway maze. I prefer to tough it out and when I get bored I use commands. I don't get the artifacts and I start out with a lesser set of gear to enchant such as dwarven or mithril and work my way up to daedric.
Fastflying is one of the best commands out there and is a great way to tour Daggerfall from the sky at a fast speed.
I can get a billion gold off a command but I prefer to loot bodies because that is one of the joys. Wilderness npc mod and enemy infighting makes a lot of cool battle npc scenes to watch, loot, and up skills on.
When one is doing a lot of 'frivolous' stuff to try out different char styles it is easier to get gear off of commands then tough it out for each one. There is also 'the deal' you can make with yourself, get 2 pieces of a set from loot and then get the rest off a command.
