Nice.
I wonder if Steam will add that version as an optional version / dlc here.

Its just regular unity with mods already bundled in anyways, everything on there you can find on nexus

Yeah, now people absolutely don't have any excuse for not trying the Unity version. All the work has been done for them.
GOG does what Valve'nt. :god_happy:

i thought the unity patch was on this one too. I gues not :S I prefer steam!!!
You don't have to use Galaxy, GOG's version of Steam. I certainly don't since it doesn't really add anything worthwile. Just download the three installer files and you're set to go.

What 3 installers you mean? BTW i just played the GOG version looks really nice the remak but its difficult as hell, theres no active block or a way to know if you blocked something... i think they reroll the hits etc like dungeons and dragons kind of.
When you go to download the game from GOG's site you get an option to install it with Galaxy or to download a backup copy split into three files. Same exact thing but you don't deal with the launcher. :tbat:

ok, ok. So just extract those files in the steam game file then?
Uh, no, the game has to be run from DaggerfallUnity.exe in whatever folder you installed it to. Technically you can go to Games at the top of the Steam interface and select "Add a non-Steam game to my library..." and select the Unity exe. The game will then pop up in your Steam library and you can use the overlay while playing and such. :Quack_Quack_Boom:

Nah, you can drag and drop all the gog files directly into the steam folder then add the file path to the DaggerfallUnity.exe in double quotes with a space between the path and %command% at the end to Launch Options for daggerfall.
It will launch the game from the main daggerfall game on steam.
A lot easier than doing anything else tbh.

Already had unity version installed as soon as it dropped on steam client, but the GOG version is nice, as it has mods added to it already. Definitely good if your incompetent with modding. Once you get good, then you can add more, but it already has the most notable, the DREAM Overhaul mod. I use around double the amount of mods than the GOG version, so I just copied my mod folder to the GOG version as well, so my save files match mods.
Yeah, modding the Unity version is a piece of piss. I can't remember the last time something like this was so easy. 90% of the time you just drop the *.mod file into the mod folder and you're good to go. :profgenki:

One mod I think is missing is the one that makes windows transparent inside buildings. That's a bit of an oversight from the dude that curated the list.

Other than that I like this simple one that gives you mana regen. It's kinda cheating but who cares, the game is hard as balls as it is.
