HELP. I think I am softlocked

I am stuck in the butterfly cave (first time you go into the woods during the witching hour) and I have no idea how to get out -- I'm at the part where you have to lure the three groups of butterflies to the carcass. the problem is that it seems like in order to lure the butterflies, you have to tank at least half a heart of damage, and I only have half a heart left on my save. I don't have any healing items or backup saves. is there a route I can take that won't do any damage? or am I stuck forever?

unblocked myself but now I can't figure out the chase scene. struggle is real I fear

During the chase an area to the left opens up that wasnt open before. You leave the cave through there. Also you should really use backup saves, the game outright tells you to use them.

You gotta replay, you can't avoid the moths completely so it's a dead end for you
