Food Problems
I'm unsure if I've missed something here, but it feels like I never can quite strike a balance with food resources in this game. Especially at the End-Game and Post End-Game, it feels as if I can never make enough Farms and that the supplies can never match demand, even when trying to account for variety.

I have since beaten the game, but only through mostly brute force via trading toward the end when I had an abundance of just about every other resource in the game. Does anyone have any advice for aiding in ensuring Food Supply is decent met and how best to scale it based on population? I've tried some ideas, but as I say, at around 200+ Pop, I can never seem to have enough and growth at that stage only gets more rapid due to the amount of people producing more people thus making it even more trickier.

Well thank you for this, we will check the late game food balance, but also what would help is your saved game so we can check what was happening there, so we have also your example and sample for testing.

Yea, late game speeds up due to natural birth rate so also at that point you do need to massively upgrade your food production so it can supply all those citizens demands.
With your files we can also check how does it look like in your save and we can see where could be the problem so we do help you for your help and for you reporting this and hopefully we will get your saved game so we can check that also.🙂

Oh no, I'm sure it isn't a bug or anything like that, but it was one of the parts of the game that vexed me and never really found a solution to it during my playthrough. Now I'm trying the No Trading Challenge, I'm hopeful with a bit of help I can maybe figure it out this time.

Well this is a small hint I can give you...
You can use Stock panel to monitor your food production and spending so you know what to do in the right moment.

Because sometimes, when you play in later stages, you have high numbers of foods, and you don't see it slipping in time, if you get what I mean...
You have let's say 10 000 food units, and slowly people are getting born ( once you see that your birthrate is high and that you have enough workers, don't use Rescue Center any more, people do have a tendency to leave it working and that is a problem that combined with high birthrate brings your town to collapse ) and then you don't see that drop happening so fast and by the time you react, your farms can't produce food because it is all on year basis, you set a farm, it takes a long time to give crop, build tuna cage, again, long time to give tuna...

So in the late game you really need to monitor food spending like a hawk.
