This is misleading. You can't simply download DFU via GOG. GOG offers the "Daggerfall GOG Cut", which is DF + DFU + a bunch of DFU mods not everyone likes (and may not be updated - I don't know). My recommendation is to download DFU separately, and to decide about mods according to personal preferences.

Not comparable: DFU is fully playable, OpenTESArena isn't,
I quote the first sentence of the official "Current Status" statement of OpenTESArena: "No actual gameplay yet, but all locations and interiors can be accessed for testing."
To say "there IS" and "IS sort of" may come true eventually, but today it's wishful thinking,

I just saw that DFU has a new mod called "Arenafall". It isn't an Arena Remake, but recreates the Arena main quest in the Daggerfall world. Search the Nexus.
PS: I haven't played the mod yet.
