Spell absorb and reflect are both good against casters. Passwall is ESSENTIAL. It's SO useful in dungeons. At least one basic Heal spell and a couple of damage spells (fire and ice). Open is also useful if you aren't a rogue type for opening doors and chests.

levitate are also really usefull, passwall was my favorite one cause some secrets are hidden on wall s etc

Spell reflect/absorb - especialy near the end of game
Heal - regardless of if you carry Heal potions or not
Passwall - because the shortest path is a straight line without walls ;)
