Any suggestions on how to beat the true final encounter?
I'm kind of stumped on this one.

The only viable solution seems to be lots of Area-Effect Snow.

There's just way too much damage coming in and the health values on all the enemies 60-90.

I had a really absurd run just now. Breezed through every encounter (thankfully ran into no enemies with teeth).

I had a unit able to dish out 20 poison almost every turn.

Didn't do a thing against 11+ damage coming into my team every other turn or so.

That stacked on top of the inability to move my characters spelled instant doom.

I'm guessing I'll just have to roll until I get a snoffel with a lot of reduced cooldown and play the "Enemies don't get a turn" game.

Open to suggestions though.

1st time i was on 2nd tribe and bursted the jailer guy with a crown soulbound and it was a normal fight after that.
2nd time i was on 3rd tribe and inked the jailer so i can move around.
Never tried with 1st tribe but im sure the game plan is still to burst the jailer.

I beat it with a shademancer tooth-frost deck. I had Taiga and my leader on the row front of the gain +2 enemy, and Tusk + any other companion (I had Egg, but Dregg got killed near immediately regardless) you have in front of the unmovable enemy. I used snow for the gain +2 enemy (which is the biggest threat for frost), the barrage frost card for the row with the aimless/barrage enemy, and summon Junjun/Fallow whenever something is about to die. Took a while especially since the aimless enemy killed my Tusk. Lumin Vase is probably best on Tusk or the frost barrage card. Unmovable didn't end up being a problem in this case, it's the second last enemy to die before aimless in my run.

But yeah it's basically the "Enemies don't get a turn" game, just with frost instead of snoffel's snow.

I just managed a 3-winstreak against it. The first was Snoffel + stacked Kabonkers, the second used 3 total units (leader chompom kernel), the third was a single Tiny Tyko that went super ballistic with a chucklefish charm.

What the fight really asks your comp for is damage and survivability; of course heaps of AoE snow and debuffs helps, but when that's out of the way you do still have to push through Jailer's 90 HP while one side of the fight still has to contend with the 5 damage Barrage (I usually solo a tanky unit here, or hope that Barrage charm Snoof or something buys enough time) and the other needs to be able to kill Jailer quickly enough while not losing anyone to a stray Lancer hit (7 aimless.)

Some units that are very good up until this point for shorter wave-based fights or the ability to Recall like Bombom suddenly become liabilities because you usually need to be able to sustain the fight for a long time. Usually my run doesn't make it here if I don't have enough damage to kill Jailer even from behind a ton of Snow, and that's something I actively look to solve during the run. I've cleared before with basic setups even after disasters just having 1 tanky unit eat the barrage lane while a Foxee or something sits behind the rest of my team and we shove through the other side.

That's when I'm still playing a fairer grounded setup, but more often than not the game lets you do pretty unfair stuff after spending Warthog money on a charm merchant or final shop, so anything you have that starts going crazy, like breaking action economy with Noomlin charm/biscuit + debuffs + vase tends to be good enough for this fight too.

It's also easier for Clunkmasters because of ink, especially if you find BINK (the item that applies 3 to all enemies.) The last time I cleared with them I just slapped vase on it and that was that.

I have beat maybe 6~ times now, Had better luck with clunkers (3x), followed with shaders (2x), and last the snows (1x). I think i had a good luck with clunkers because how potent ink is.

My advices:
1) Debuff with barrage or multihiters units/skills. Ink and snow are amazing, but even frost, boom, poison, overburn can work pretty well.

2) You need a balanced team, don't go full on aggro or full defense, Usually for the most other fights (except for the thorns fight) you can pretty reliable go full aggro and win all fights, but not this final boss, unless you have some crazy shennanigans happening on turn 1~3 with your deck.

3) Try to make your setup fast. If you can have all the main setup cards crowned and do most of the setup before fight even start. When I first started the game I mostly crowned units, but crowning skills and even some clunkers is better in some setups.

Also, Retromation streamer is pretty good player, he has beaten a couple times the final boss you might want watch his videos on youtube, it could help.
