Muncher Thoughts
I think the Muncher needs to be buffed given the rarity and starting deck loadouts. You're only going to visit the Muncher twice in a run and even then it might be the wrong choice to do so - it might spawn on an unappealing path where it is detrimental proceed.

I think the Muncher needs to eat 3 cards instead of two. You don't get to draft very many cards in a run which makes it incredibly critical to build a lean & consistent deck. Removing the scrappy swords in favour or clappers or berry blades is going to provide better backline access. Similarly, being able to excess gearhammers so you only draw stacked ones is pretty important to scale in time for harder encounters.

Appreciate you dropping your thoughts here! We're taking note of what is and isn't working for players right now so keep an eye on future updates :)

Would love to see some creative incentive to munch charms or something, like maybe he poops out money if you feed him a charm or a card with a charm on? Just to give a few extra options?

Feel like every time I go I just give him the standard swords / tar blades!

My decks have been tiny most runs because I prioritise charms. Usually 2 munchers is enough. It's a shame the game didn't launch in early access to make feedback and changes easier. I wouldn't hate one more area before the final boss though.

Yeah more points of interest would be cool, im conscious that as I unlock new map nodes it's going to make it a bit harder. I love these new nodes don't get me wrong, they're fantastic, but I also don't want to lose the regular charm and shop nodes etc

atleast let me see two instances of the map at once, so when the gameplay stays this hard i can plan further ahead

Yeah, I already consider munchers to be probably the best node to visit, at least until I've been to two of them - starter decks are a lot better in this game than they are in, say, slay the spire, so cutting out what little chaff there is (or removing a card that you had to take that just doesn't fit your deck) is very potent, especially given the lack of enemies that add "curses" to your deck. 3 cards per would be kind of nuts. With that said, I wouldn't be opposed to having other ways to remove cards - adding it as a fairly expensive shop option (like lots of other similar games do) could be reasonable. Or maybe adding the ability to pay to skip getting a new "treasure" card?

I wouldn't want to pay to not pick up trash, that's just even more punishing than the game already is lmfao
