Spray Paint Simulator

Thoughts
Demo was fun, even if it was short. Felt a little tedious at times having to keep going over the same areas because the coverage wasn't all that great, especially with the wider spray. I'm guessing that'll improve over time with upgrades so i can't complain too much. I do wish the highlight duration was longer, or just a straight up on/off. Having to click every few seconds to rehighlight is a bit annoying.

The transparency on the highlighted objects that needed to be removed/readded made them a bit hard to see at times as well. The front fender i think it was was also hard to get all the areas of even switching between all the crouch areas and moving closer and further away. Also, I had a few sploches of paint on the ground outside of the masking area. These remain in the end when you remove masking which makes sense, but kind of bugged me seeing them in the ending shot. Maybe the group masking should be bigger or expandable or just make it so you can't get paint on the ground at all?

For freespray mode, since the goal is to just chill and paint i'd honestly argue you should just make the paint and battery unlimited. Granted I never came close to running out of battery at least. Also maybe I'm missing it but it doesn't look like you can unmask and complete the car in freespray mode which kind of defeats the point imo since you need get to see it finished.

Also, you may want to rename the look speed setting to camera/control sensitivity which is a more traditional name, the current name might confuse people, at least it threw me off for a second

Overall, pretty fun. I definitely think the potential is there and depending on how things develop i could see myself playing quite a bit similar to powerwash simulator.

Hi Tsukasawm, thanks for playing the demo and thanks for some great feedback!

The coverage is certainly something that we're going to improve and we'll also be tweaking the behaviour of things like the highlighting as well as adding some settings for it. Free spray also has some planned improvements such as the ability to unmask and infinite battery life. In the full game you can also replay any completed item in contract mode, going through the same masking/unmasking stages but using any paint colours you like. By comparison free spray is an infinite mode without any preparation and a few other unique features.

We are compiling a list of all comments about the demo and I'll add your feedback to it. Many thanks for taking the time to write such a comprehensive response.

Hey Tsukasawm,

The new demo’s live! It’s a bit longer now, with a new job added and co-op multiplayer in Free Spray mode. We’ve made lots of improvements too—stuff like a better task highlighter and bigger ground masking.

If you get a chance to give it a go, let us know what you think. Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks
