Why do people still buy the same game every year?

People will buy whatever they want, chill out. And FYI, there are people who don't buy FIFA every year, you know? Personally, I only bought 4 FIFA games in my life with the last being FIFA 19. Calm yourself.

Multiplayer-Community games such as Fifa/Call Of Duty..etc hugely rely on the online experience, especially with friends.

If your friends move on to the next game, if your favorite streamers/youtubers do.. You'll eventually feel the need of doing so yourself, otherwise you'll feel left out.

Unless there will be a way of cross-play between different games (Say, Fifa22 players can play against Fifa23 players), I don't see this ending anytime soon. Heck, even if this was technically possible, I am pretty sure it won't be done, marketing-wise.

yea I had good memories of 12 and earlier, winning leagues in face off seasons and stuff, I tried 19 and saw the most attrocious scripting ever, I don't know if 12 had scripting, but it felt like if I played like an ape I lost, and if I was smart I won, 19 just felt like anything I did didn't matter as the game decided when I won or when I lost, I keep coming back to the forums to see if it changes but it seems like that isn't the casse

i understand why people needed to buy a football game every year
thing is this year you don't need to buy a game when efootball2022 it;s free to play
other football games like goals,ufl coming and will be free to play
also in efootball you can get easily top players compared to fifa fut
so i don't understand why this year some users need to buy fifa
i get if you are a pro or streamer or you make only fifa content but majority aren't these things
ea devs give bad rewards compared to konami devs
for example in a month of playing efootball i made 1 mil gp and that was mbappe price
what also important,standard cards are on par with featured cards
standard cards require more exp to grow them and featured cards require less exp
fifa is trash,so is efootball but at least one is free to play and you can build your top team faster and cheaper if you put real money

I understand that, but the problem lies in EA constantly selling the same product every year and the "friends and favourite streamers" don't learn from that. Instead they keep buying the new game because the last one is going to be dead in a few months. It's mostly EA's fault, but it's also the consumers for not expecting more.

I never do, I bought fifa 22 for 10$ and it’s worth ♥♥♥♥. I wish I can refund it. FIFA 18 is what I had before 22.
