Overlord Squid RNG Manip

I FINALLY found a true RNG manip for this thing! It's a pain to set up, but it's here! This won't work on the DS since the RNG used for this is based on the system time, and that EO3 DS actually uses a different RNG formula here.

Preparations:

Step 1: Make sure ALL fish have respawned (Tanniyns are not included.) This means spending a ridiculous amount of time in the labyrinth and never ever fishing on the ocean for a long while.

Step 2: You need to have reached Stratum 6. The reason for this is because the trader ships all need to have a chance to spawn, which they won't if you haven't reached Stratum 6. Also for that matter, make sure no trader ships are on cooldown. (If you trade with one, they're not allowed to spawn for a while.)

Step 3: If a Tanniyn is on the map, kill it. They'll stick around on the map, which will screw with the RNG. Don't worry, this won't screw with this method.

Step 4: Make sure you have the Elephant Turtle and Foremast unlocked in terms of ship equipment. Equip ONLY those 2 pieces of ship equipment. The other 2 slots should be blank. No other equipment is needed, and the statues, flags, and nets will screw with the RNG.

Step 5 (Optional): This step is optional, but it will make one step of the actual manipulation this less tedious for your mind. Sleep at the inn to sync up the clock to 7 AM/PM. Doesn't matter if it's morning or night.

Okay now that all the prep work is done, here's the actual manip! Load up the save file you prepped and want to get the Overlord Squid on. You do NOT need to do this from a fresh boot since the RNGs involved always get set to the same seeds on a save file load.

Step 1: Enter Waterfall Woods and step back and forth 92 times and leave the Labyrinth. Do not step on or past the tile I marked with the red X in the video. The reason for that is because the Pasaran's spawn area on this floor starts from that point, which will screw with the RNG.

However, counting 92 steps is pretty tedious, so this is why you synched up the clock to 7 AM/PM. Since the clock advances 1 hour every 30 steps, and every 90 steps causes a sound effect to play/and rotates the clock in the upper left corner 1 time, this means you can just keep walking back and forth until you see/hear the clock advance to 10 AM/PM instead of counting all those steps! From there, step forward and backward 1 more time, and leave the Labyrinth.

Step 2: Go to Inver Port and make sure you only have the aforementioned Elephant Turtle and Foremast equipped. Once you have, immediately head out to sail with Armoroad as your starting point. Do not exit out of the sea map menu or the manip has been failed and you'll need to do step 1 again.

Step 3: Make sure to fish up ONE of the fish right next to Armoroad. Doesn't matter which, but leave the other 2 alone.

Step 4: Head down to the golden fishing spot down in F-3, and enjoy your Overlord Squid!

第一步：首先读取存档（不需要关了游戏再重新打开）

第二步：进入B1F，在入口来回走92步然后离开迷宫。必须在入口的那两格来回走，不然会进入毛球出现区然后影响随机数。如果你在旅馆内休息到七点，那么只要看到钟到了十点后再走两步就是92步（迷宫内30步=1小时）。

第三步：进入海港然后立刻只带巨龟与前桅杆从海都出航。不要退出海洋地图菜单，否则就得从第一步重新来过。

第四步：海都左边三条鱼内捕获一条。哪一条都没关系，但是不要捕获其它两条。

第五步：驶到F-3区域的金色鱼处捕掉，得到霸王章鱼。
