This game is even older than Persona 4 Golden, in case you didn't know. P4G's pricing was more than adequate considering that we were getting the exclusivity of PS Vita finally gone.
Granted, P3P kinda acts the same way except that the game itself is by all means inferior
If those workers wanted to get paid accordingly, they should have made the ultimate Persona 3 - combination of P3 FES and elements of P3P, but they didn't, they just copy pasted the game from PSP
Again, I will mention that people will be heavily disappointed by this product and call its price to question once they've realized how bad this one is compared to P4G
p.s. btw thanks for free points though, I'll put them to good use
Catherine Classic and P4G are probably only fairly priced Atlus games on here, and maybe even P5R because it contains every DLC.
the prices you see on your consoles usually have nothing to do with PC releases of the games. Horizon Zero Dawn was 20$ on PSN for a long time, yet PC version was 50$. Apples and oranges, really
$20 for what it has to offer is reasonable (reasonable < fair). Prices gone up everywhere. There are not so many people who will buy it full price anyways
Also
Did you play this game last year? No? Well, than you can wait another year and buy it for, don't know, Maybe 50% off? (sale), aka $10
Many devs put high prices on steam games exactly because they know many will by it on sales.
Now, please tell me, why was it necessarily for me and others to explain the obvious because you consider $5 different a rip off?
What is "full price"? It's an old game, after all, and a port. What is the definition of full price? Cuz it's definitely not original 60$, the game IS that OLD after all
I played BOTH FES and P3P, maybe not as extensively as original P4 on my PS2 emulator, but enough to easily spot the differences between the two
Why exactly do I need to have played it last year? I already know the game, both versions of it, to be fair
Also, according to your own statements you can't even do basic math. You implied a 50% discount, which would reduce the game from 20 to 10$, a 10$ discount, and then in the last sentence you mention a 5$ difference...
And again, my point was that this game is gonna be a major disappointment for a lot of people who already got to experience what P4G has to offer for its 20$, they might be inclined to expect similar results here, which they won't get
Had it been a PS2 FES version, I wouldn't even have started the OP, but this is the inferior version of the game in terms of animations and cutscenes and character detail
p.s. Also, not sure if you know this, but your way of setting the game price doesn't always work. Say, developers charge 100$ for their game initially only to introduce a 50$ discount in the next 4 months. So now you have a chance to buy the game at 50$ instead of assumed 60$ (which is, say, the base price of a AAA game) so you get a 10$ discount
However, the game sells most units not after 4 months of the release, but UPON the release, like literally when it comes out. That is usually the moment when most people will play the game and buy it, not after god knows how many months
This, costing 20$ is a vastly inferior project compared to 20$ for P4G, many people will be disappointed by this title
they may have done custom work on it noone knows yet
and some physical ones being 500$+
they put in the work, they deserve to be paid, we should be grateful that its coming to pc
so who cares about the price, if we dislike will always be sales
this is kinda bad argument, you are talking about people buying rare collection edition games that are either in mind condition, kept that way for decades or just very good and working condition. You can't compare a 50$ still working rare cartridge for Atari or Sega that your dad kept for more than 30 years to a game that was released during PS2/PSP era
Not to mention, P4G was 20$
Also, as a consumer, you are entitled to criticize the company for any wrongdoings, you know, even IF the game is gonna be released on PC for the first time. Yes, I'm very thankful that they decided on P4G release, as I could never get my hands on PS Vita, but this is different now.
P4G is already out there for more than 2 years, most people say that it's a good port, AND there's still a patch coming our way in January 2023
The quality difference between P4G and this particular title is astonishing. It doesn't really matter how much work they are gonna put into copy pasting psp edition of the game to PC, it's not the game that many people want (they want P3 FES)
I, for one, am not getting it even with sales, the game sucks, I already have seen what FES looks like and I did play P3P, it's a big difference, no sales are gonna justify it to me personally
