Why are the floor bosses harder than the main bosses?
It's my first time playing P3P (or Persona 3 in general), either I suck or the floor bosses seem to be harder to deal with than the actual bosses in the game like Strega. I had no problems fighting those two. I had maybe one instance where I almost lost it, but not multiple chances to lose like I do with floor bosses.

Think about how much you'd have to replay if you were fighting underleveled and with wrong team composition story boss vs floor boss
Lost against the floor boss - you just had a chance to save right before it, you're still in tartarus, velvet room door is next to you, fuse some personas and keep on grinding until you're ready
with story boss - ehmm go back to your last save before the story event, do the grinding, then repeat the whole dungeon before the boss fight

Plus Strega aren't that hard, they probably should have been buffed a little, especially their late game fight

But as I said, I have no problems with the main bosses.
Idk why floor bosses give me issues. I have been making sure to train up now though. Didn't realize Strega was not that strong to begin with. Feel funny for bragging about how easy they were for me. Lol.

What I'm saying is that those are harder, because the devs could make them harder as failing them isn't as annoying as failing a story boss
You can get more prepared for them, so the devs expect you to be more prepared for them.

Makes sense then... Still odd...

Yeah, it just kind of made them feel underwhelming to me. The story bosses felt like they were way cooler with their design and abilities and such, but then you just go and kill them in 2 or 3 rounds. The floor bosses were really boring but would often take a dozen rounds of repeating the same moves over and over.

I never felt under leveled against the boss enemies... But the floor bosses just give me a harder time no matter how leveled I am. I started power grinding every one.

they are 3, so it mean 3 attack every turn and it turn bad when they critic you, so aoe from 3 mini boss can really be pain in the ass

you cant really use elemental against them, cant really critic each one, so you cant enjoy critic bonus like with main boss

so 3 mini bosses is more annoying than only one boss

It's a good question. especially when you're at the point where floor bosses start regularly using skills like megidola while the next "main" boss gets wiped out in one hit.

I just know what Animefanka said made sense to me.

It's not just you. I've played P3 a few times and a lot of the floor bosses seem to cause more trouble than some full moon encounters.

My only theory is that maybe they want to allow for players who haven't done a lot of grinding in Tartarus but are getting close to a full moon boss? But personally I'd always prioritise clearing Tartarus up to the next barrier, so by the time I got to the full moon boss I didn't have a hard time...

I do the same thing. Try to clear up the floors to the barrier and then call it a day.
