EDIT Nevermind, the jealousy mechanic got removed in p3p but, again they half-assed the p4-fying of it and left the "girl may get jealous" message :P
So no consequences for cheating but you have to cheat if you want to max all social links in single playthrough
in that guide, it says that as soon as you start dating a girl, you must see her again within 60 days. each time you see a different girl, it reduces that by 15, so you can "safely" cheat 3 times, as long as you see the original girl within the next 15 days.
but then, if you are following that guide, i'm assuming that the author already took this into account when he set the schedule of who you should see each day.
but then again, this is a different version, so everything i just said might be irrelevant.
in any event, the guide also says that once you max out the link with a girl, mshe will never reverse on you and it frees you up to max the link with someone else.
the guide has me maxing chihiro first
The female protagonist can choose not to date male social links on her route, though.
Fun fact, the main reason for this is because the Persona 3 writer genuinely believed that men and women are incapable of having platonic relationships.
The persona games are a lot of fun, and I think they explore some great themes and generally have good writing direction, but wow they really have some "interesting" views on relationships and certain social links. Some are MEANT to be problematic, of course, but others feel like they're meant to be normal but just feel super creepy unintentionally. And I always thought it was weird that a lot of the correct choices in dialogue are enabling poor behavior.
i personally don't have a problem with this. I think love (between consenting adults) should be able between any two people regardless of who they are. but i thought this behavior was generally a big no no and pretty much every school in the world has rules against it.
there are the ethical issues and also just general issues regarding impropriety and abusing the power of their positions and their reputations and it's pretty much just not wise to do this anyway.
i mean, maybe it's different in japan. i heard that the age of consent is lower, which is why they have so many romance stories set in high schools.
or maybe the writers thought it's okay because it's male students dating female teachers. .
i'm reminded of that south park episode.
Kyle : "my little brother is dating a teacher!"
cop : "so?
Kyle : "sooo?! he's 5 and she's 23!"
cop : "is she hot?"
kyle : "what? i dunno, i guess,but what does that have to do with . . "
cop : "nice. ."
cop 2 : "nice. ."
in hermit you're just chatting in a mmo and while you do find out that you've been talking to your teacher, she has no idea that her online friend is her student until the post final battle goodbyes
and in magician I remember that he had a crush on a teacher and that was it, no relationship, just a one-sided crush
I'd say it's P5 that's creepy about this subject nagging you about blackmailing you're teacher doing borderline sex work, no, morgana, I don't want to call her, I want to forget this ever happened
She talks about having a hot student (you) that she watches during class and wants to basically seduce them, not realizing that it's you she's talking to online.
also, with his 89 accuracy, he hits about as often as an Xcom rookie.
which is ironic since yukari has only 88, but then i kind of don't like using her either, since her physical attack power is crap and she only has one attack spell and unless the enemy is weak against wind, she's kind of useless as well. . but then the game give you some. . .fanservice.. with her, so there's that double standard. with junpei being all creepy towards the girls, but then they make you feel like a creep too for putting certain equipment on them. .
also, i'm playing FES and you can't control the companions in that, and i hate when mitsuri spams her charm spells and they never seem to work.
so, one might ask, is there anyone i like? i like using the boxer guy and obviously the doge. who does't want a doge persona user on their team?
i think jupei has more physical skill attack than akihiko like slash, percing, strike
so you can be in situation where yukari and mitsuru magic attack dont work and heal monster and they are weaker physically
for example third floor boss has immunity against magic attack and only physically attack work, so only junpei, akihiko and your character can damage the boss
and at early game junpei is the only to able to buff, only our character has better buff than him
so junpei suck to be mage and paladin, but he is a good warrior, in classic rpg he may be the tank
