The only literature I read are facts and educational texts
Persona 3-5 have ALWAYS been visual novels with JRPGs attached, P3P just makes that more obvious by making the characters 2d sprites.
This is descriptive of all Persona 3+ games and many other JRPGs.
But I don't see how having to read a lot is a japanese feature. Try playing some of those western Isometric CRPGs, Now those require an immense amount of reading not including the few fully voice acted ones.
Oh yeah. I used to love story-driven games. Neverwinter Nights 2 was great.
But as I got older I started to value gameplay before story.
I want instant gratification and results.
I recently played Diablo 3, that's how you do an action-role playing game imo
Respectable. I think full genre games tend to be better. Full blown RPGs are better at being RPGs and a dedicated action games generally tends to have better combat than ARGPS.
There are some exceptions of course.
