yea i was lucky enough to proc that because I was looking through the achievement.
totally agree. i mean it isnt hard to just leave a pot there and just let ppl get the achievement. why make it missable
There's a "point of no return" that the game informs you of near the final area. Once you complete the game and get an ending, you're able to continue that file by being placed back at the point of no return, so you can do optional stuff and possibly gain access to the other ending option.
So for the few missable achievements like the map data one, if you mess it up you do have to start a new save from scratch (or use a backup save if you can).
tysm
Doesn't take long to run the whole game again, and if you really just wanted the achievements, you can do it on story mode. But with enough hours on Eigong and clearing it on standard difficulty including the true ending, I'd say, either or, it doesn't matter; story mode just lets you breeze through, but the game is easy and short enough that you can speed run the achievements even on normal.
I thought there'd be an achievement for not using the gene eradicator the first time round, activated the boss, and found out that he doesn't just jump back into the pod for me to use the gene eradicator after on a death.
