2nd this. Jumping+AirDash helped me avoid it nearly all the time.
Unbound countering the move is still much easier imo and also adds a fair amount of internal dmg
personally, the second i noticed that she was preparing the attack i would just run in the opposite direction of her and then when she touched down with the orb i would dodge (also away from her) and it worked like 80% of the time. most of the times i got hit while using this method was if i panic jumped before dodging and then took damage after the dodge, which isn't really the game's fault.
Unbounded parry is better, of course, as it's an easy attack to punish.
