It’s possible playing on console and asking here.
But yes the current version of the game lets you see detailed versions of the maps… might have missed you can zoom in.
The chips only tell you if you missed any loot, info dumps or mini-bosses in the area.
You get them from the fish bowl robots, in each area.
You can pay Jin for them or rip chip out the bot. (There are at least two, you don’t get the option to pay, because one it destroyed and other attacks you)
I dunno. Seems kinda fishy to me. Since launch, not only did they update the map data system so you don't need the chips to see the detailed map, but they also updated the price to repair Shanhai 9000 from 1000 jin to 100 jin...that was a long time ago lol
Replied 10 or so minutes after they posted and checked their Steam page just in case I was wrong. They never played and didn't own Nine Sols. They also then immediately set their profile on private after I called them out for pirating which is pretty telling.
Sure, they might have it on console but the console version has updated more than once since launch so I'm not giving them that particular benefit of the doubt.
