Lady Ethereal third phase
How are you supposed to deal with the charged attack? It seems impossible to dodge, so do I need to do the advanced parry on it? If so, how does the timing work with the two clones she spawn to do the swiping attacks just before the charged attack?

If you are talking about the "charge giant red ball in the sky" attack, you first air-parry the two clones that swipe in, then dodge just as she comes down.

I posted pretty much the same thread a few weeks back since I was also confused about that attack. You need to dash the moment after you parry that second clone. Ironically, the best time to get damage in is right after when you fall from the sky and can catch her undefended. You could use Full Control talismans or unload all your arrows to get in a lot of damage quickly.

You start charging up your power attack as she starts charging up the orb, then when the second clone appears on your screen, you jump up, air parry both clones, dash to the left, and let go of your power attack as you fall past her, which will then stagger her and leave you with a punish window. This attacks is the safest punish window in her third phase when you are doing a no-hit run.

The devs forcing us to figure out that attack after phase 2 is pure sadism lol.

So evasion is the answer after all, thanks

Lady Ethereal having a 3rd phase after grinding out 100 deaths on the 2nd was what got me to install the cheat mod. I only used it on that fight, but I dont regret it

Also what the hell is going on with the thing behind her

The game has an adjustable story mode though?

As others have said, right after you parry the second attack from the 2 clones that appear, you dash. One thing you can do right after is to begin attacking her since she stays in that position for quite a while, which means free damage output.

You need to jump and parry the two attacks from clones. After did that, and, into the air, dash to side at right time to avoid the giant's red ball punch. This boss is a little bit hard

Little too hard to be honest. After replaying her a few times, the thing that always gets me killed is that after you mess up once, you just get combo'd to death from all the new clones that spawn. The only real time to heal is after stunning the main body too, which makes the fight take even longer.

Way too long for how unforgiving it is, especially phase 2. At least you can ignore the clones in 3.

Lady E is a huge difficulty spike in the game. With that said, I just love her design and the energy of the fight.

Same. It's a great fight. Phase 2 just has too much life. It takes forever.
