it's just her head, either the back of it or the front without a face, in phase 1, Phase 2 is the single eye of the Tianhao virus mutation... and the Phase 3.... I got nothing on the Butterfly with eyes on it's wings.
It's meant to be abstract, showing how her guilt, has caused her mind to fracture into mental instability... partly as the dreamscape project isn't perfect and causes the Solarians to lose sanity the more they are in it.
So Lady Ethereal's subconcious is trying to process the guilt of being part of a Council that, instead of saving their species, trapped all of its members in a never ending dreamscape while they slowly get consumed by the virus, too lost in "perfect dreams" to ever want to wake up.
