Is this a good side game?

so I have my main game at the moment but this does look interesting though I might have little time each day playing (or maybe twice a week)

wanted to know if this is a good side game? im looking for something I can enjoy in bursts, not hard to jump in / jump out, and I wouldnt be lost in mechanics or story if I ended up playing once in a while?

is it very story heavy game or dialogue just more like adding to the overall experience and I can just relax without focusing too much playing? thanks!!

You might have trouble with it. The story isn't too intensive. But the game could do a better job telling you where to go. It's not marked on your map, for instance. Generally when you're exploring for new areas, you look at where the map has connections you haven't gone and go down them. However, in the hub area, there is a computer character who will tell you roughly where to go next (EG: "Go over to the east"), and then you check your map to see unfilled connections in that direction.

I don't believe this is a good side game, at least not for a first playthrough. It's supposed to be difficult so leaving it aside and only playing it every couple of days might result in a game where just as you're learning patterns you forget all of them from taking a break

No, any metroidvania is absolutely terrible in bursts. It's hard enough piecing together where you need to go when everything is fresh in your memory.

I'd recommend something like Shovel Knight for that. It has separate levels that work well on their own.

You'd be better playing Vampire Survivors or games like Kill knight for that.
