Fortune teller machine scene isn't happening.

I've done all of the supposed prerequisites for the cut scene that would give me the repurposed achievement.

-I've got every map chip without killing any bots(except the factory one for obvious reasons) and delivered all of them to shanhai 9000
-I've handed shuanshuan the "tiandao academy periodical"
-I've given shuanshuan an additional 5 items to no effect.
-i'm on story mode (2nd playthrough)

does anyone know if there are any more requirements that i have not fulfilled that will make this thing pop. I've been here for 6 hours. any insight would be appreciated

I believe I only got the fortune teller machine to unlock once I got the call from Ruyi about the point of no return. At that point I warped back to the Four Seasons and got the little scene.

all I know is that u need to keep returning or saving and checking. so maybe just keep progressing.
keep returning there maybe teleport and come back.

i reached the point of no return right before the final sol seal. still nothing. why is this so difficult and non specific.

Have you given Shuanshuan literally every other gift in the game? Perhaps that's the trigger on it. I know I've consistently gotten it when I haven't destroyed the shanhais but I haven't kept track of what exactly I did up until then

I too am encountering this issue. I feel like if you give shuanshuan the item that causes him to build the machine, but dont trigger all the dialog, you might miss your opportunity to get the event. This is just a theory though

i mean, i can try, but i'm not looking forward to it. lets see if i can diagnose it then. maybe if we can figure it out, this thread might be useful for someone.

Hey I don't know if you still need this but you need to get every chip w/o killing any bots (you already did that) and give Shuanshuan EVERY gift. Once all the dialogue w/ the other gifts is done you should be good, just keep resting @ the root node till it pops up (you also need Chiyou in your base but that'll happen while doing the other stuff)
