maximum skill points, but not maxed out skill tree?

I just got a notification I am the maximum level, but there still are some skills left to unlock in the skill tree. Killing more enemies doesn't level me up anymore, so I don' t know how to unlock the last skills.

There are -exactly- enough skill points in the game to unlock the full tree, if you add up all the ones from levelling up and every single Tao Fruit. If you're at max level and you don't have enough points, you'll be missing a couple of Tao Fruits.

Ahh I see, turns out I didn' t go back and collect fuxi and nuwa's Tao fruits, thanks!

ty man, i reached max Level a few min ago and was asking me the same question (haven finished the Game yet (i am after the fight against The Fengs) but still was wondering from where i get the final Skill Points left)

Edit: Same as OP, after getting the Tao Fruit from them i have all final 6 Skillpoints i need. Would have gotten it either Way, bcs i wanted to go back to them but the Pop-Up max Level reached confused me.
