How does the fire on the factory Works?

Im talking about the fire that damages the whole screen, how is it activated?

It's timed. There are two brief (harmless) flashes, then the long damaging section. You can hide from the heat either inside a building, or next to the gongs outside: hit them with your sword in order to activate a brief shield. (There's a swordsman next to the first gong, placed so that you're likely to hit it by accident.)

The fire is activated by the 2 big statues with hammers. It turns on every 3rd time they hit the anvil.

You can permanently deactivate the fire when you get upgraded parry. Just stand at the anvil and super parry their hammer swing.

Correction: every 4th time. Four time periods abt 5s each, then 5s of radiation, repeat. You can use minishields or cover to hide from it, or just tank with healing surplus (it doesn't interrupted your healing). You can even explore the whole area without shutting it down provided you have enough healing pipe flasks (but obviously it's easier to just shut it down).
