I do agree that the second phase gets kind of chaotic, with all the snakes and the extra knives.
Using bow to stop brother's action while the snake comes out.
He probably talks about his normal attacks. I also got hit by something i thought i should have dodged. But i quickly realise what was the problem.
The attack kept hitting me because i was facing the wrong side.
After wailing at Fu-xi i would usually stay inside his model, sometimes in the back of it. And it make me think i should turn to his back because i was slightly behind him. WRONG. Even when slighly behind him the correct way to block is to parry as you would be in front of him. Other hint. Dont stand inside him, stay in front of him for safety.
Now, as for second phase. The double knife and red attack combo. Bow can stun him as metioned earlier. Alhough sometimes he doesnt react. But the safiest way to avoid that combo is to run away from him when he starts preparing it. Jump and parry the two swords in the air and then dash away from him when he comes in. Worked every time for me.
The sideways from the bottom snake attack. Double jump above it but be prepared to parry in the air an attack from Fu-xi.
The from side to side top snake attack, if i noticed it correctly, you need to just run to the other side, i think they dont show up at the furthest space.
The snake attack from above that comes in waves one after the other. On other post one player said is to stay still and Fu-xi attacks after parrying it will shove you in a safe spot, then you need to time the dodge for the other snake. But honestly, i rather take a hit from them and then succesfully parry his attack.
It is a hard fight and i loved everypart of it. If you didnt beat Jin yet, its a nice idea to do him first. For me he was much easier and he surely gave me training in blocking multples attacks and dodging stage hazards.
Did that once accidentally in one of my attempts. Parried the first one, and then Unbound the red and the second sword one at the same time. Tried to recreate it but it was not consistent. I think the Jade of non stop Unbond counter could help in that situation.
Focus on defense, only attacking when you don't see any magic spells coming your way, until he lets out a crimson attack. You'll always have *just enough* time to perform a counter and lay into him during his momentary stun. Just stay calm, rinse and repeat until you've got him.
There is enough time to parry both knives and start charging counter, and parry with it, and it is consistent.
On a topic of hitboxes, this particular boss hit me numerous times with his shoulder while slammimg the ground. Learned this is not a safe place to be, but hitbox is garbage anyway.
