Currently stuck-how to get to Goumang?

I have killed Yingzhao, got ambushed by Goumang, and then made it to the spot where there is a boat with no serpent and you have to ring the bell somehow. I don't know how to do this so I went to the left and eventually got back to the hub area and had been exploring a lot but can't progress any farther. I am assuming that Goumang is the second big boss, how do I progress\get to her?

Ring the bell harder :) no seriously, weak attacks aren't enough to move that bell, so attack harder

Well they give charge attack for a reason :) It's common to use the ability you just unlocked a lot, at least until next ability is unlocked.
(BTW I don't think it's good to outright tell stuck players what to do. Start with hints and let them feel at least a bit smart by figuring out the rest. Only tell full solution if they are still stuck, and use spoiler tag for it.)

It is hinted in your first dragon boat ride as there is a device to make that bell ring for you.
