Load times in this game
I have the game on SSD but it still takes like 4-5 seconds to load. Is this normal or my SSD isn't fast enough?

I like the game so far but the pacing is bogged down by constant loading screens, loading new areas, and taking elevators, I wish it was different.

bro, that's fast

nine sols loading is fast enough, 4-5s for a game isnt much at all (since most games usually have a longer loading time). Tho for a 2D game maybe it is slow idk

4-5 seconds I would say it is fine, because those areas are quite big.

I think it's my crappy SSD. I happen to be getting a new SSD tomorrow, will test and report.

the existence of loading times is fine and necessary but for a 2D game it's excessive, what makes it more problematic is the constant interruption of gameplay by forcing you to load a new area or take an elevator or something, I have played many other Metroidvanias, it's not like this always

Loading times are horrendous, actually. It's some kind of starfield simulator. I go from hub to a next location through two loading screens, that location is inaccessible, so i immediately get another loading screen going back, and then another one going forward to different location. Got killed on elevator, loading screen, and then two more to return to where i was from the hub. All in a span of like 2 minutes.

get an m.2 drive that's really fast. if you install windows on it too your pc will be lightning fast

I've installed it on an m.2 drive and the loading is so fast, I can't even press L1/R1 to cycle to the next tip.

I'm getting an M2 today, will test and see.

If its super fast then this problem will be much less prevalent, but as some other dude said, so many loading screens for a 2D game.

Loading screens aren't bad, but the nonsense of having to go back to the hub just to warp elsewhere is what bogs the game down. Just unnecessary

Have you tried looking around the hub whenever you're there? To talk with residents, maybe shop a little.
