Oh, Teleporting
I'm not a fan of how we can only teleport from the Pavilion node. Why not all nodes. I mean... I just return to the pavilion, and then teleport to where I want... it's just a process with all the loading. Why not just let us teleport from any of the nodes?

You will be able to teleport later in the game.

I think OP means you should be able to teleport from any node to any node, removing the need to press teleport back to Pavillion and press teleport to other node again.

Ah, yes, indeed. My bad :er_uwu:

Yeah, I may have explained it poorly LOL Teleport to any node from any node.

It's 1) to keep a difference between root nodes and main root at pavilion; 2) to make you return to pavilion frequently – nudging towards interacting with its residents. It's true it can be annoying if you want to teleport all over the map, but that's seldom necessary.

I guarantee you people would rather save more of what little free time they have, than have a small, insignificant lore reason for why you can't teleport from anywhere.

Well, interacting with people in pavilion is gamellay, not lore. If you don't want to spend time on gameplay, then I can suggest you also reduce number of backtracking. Sure you'll have less "find secret chests" gameplay, but hey you save even more precious time!

Regardless of what kind of "gameplay" you're into, loading screens are not gameplay. There won't always be new things to do in the pavilion when I need to teleport somewhere else.

I think Shiro is right, there's generally not too much back tracking in this game. Since you mostly progress through the areas in a linear order. I don't necessarily hate having to go back to the Pavilion because of the aforementioned interactions; rather, I think the loading times could be significantly improves.

You don't know whether there are new things to do in pavilion until you visit it, that's the thing... maybe in very late game you can just skip it but that's it.
...to think about it, the very last encounter w Lear could maybe upgrade the horn once more, for unlimited teleportation, as by that point you've likely already got most of pavilion interactions. But I dunno.

I don't know why you're focusing on the pavilion interactions more than the teleporting mechanic just being straight garbage. What if I don't want to do any of the optional stuff in the pavilion every time I go back there, but I just want to play the game and find hidden treasures? Treasure that are also not always available immediately when you enter an area for the first time, meaning you have to backtrack later on. I don't want to have to min/max all the gameplay mechanics in order to save time.

With a universal teleport, the people who want to interact with all that the pavilion has to offer, can do that any time they want.

And the people who just want to play the game for the gameplay, can equally benefit.

You're playing the wrong game then because this game is lore heavy and story heavy. Move on and play something else. Stop trying to ruin it or make into something that you think it should be. Let it be what it is.

You guys already ruined the map progression with your whining, I don't want to hear anymore of it.

I'm genuinely confused about how removing an excess loading screen ruins the game.

because it's a progression system and it's lore based, just like the map system was.

So if I teleport from a low-tier node to another low-tier node, how is the progression being obstructed?

Also, if there's a lore reason for me wasting my time in a game, it better be some damn good lore.
