Eigong's Difficulty Spike is unreasonable.
The final fight against Eigong is unreasonably hard. I've read the other threads here about how players are giving up, quitting the game, or are otherwise banging their heads against the wall that is Eigong.

After countless tries and many hours getting used to her, I can now consistently reach phase two. Just now, I managed to barely make it to phase three, where I was promptly defeated by her full-screen slashes.

I've read many condescending replies here, all the usual BS: "Get gud," "Skill issue," and so on. To those I say: People have lives and other priorities. Sure, jerk yourselves off about how amazing you are. I hope you are happy and feel accomplished beating a boss like her "easily." I have a family and other ♥♥♥♥ to do and not the patience nor the time to spend so much time on one boss.

Eigong doesn't compare to the other bosses. I'm not saying she's too hard. I'm saying the difficulty spike compared to the other bosses is unreasonable, completely out of the blue, and way too much.

This is yet another example of devs thinking that a hard boss equals a good boss. I don't understand how you can alienate your players who paid good money for your game and spent many hours getting to the end just to ♥♥♥♥ them over and have the entire game leave a bad aftertaste even after finishing it.

This could have been a really good game. Unfortunately, Eigong is ruining it for many, many players.

If it is too hard for you there is a story mode. It took me some time to learn it, but she is the final boss and winning should be a huge and satisfying achievement. After training you can dodge and parry everything she has.

Also you also behave in passive aggresive way saying that "you have life" insisting that those who defeated her are only sitting and playing?

Uh-huh, nothing makes people want take you seriously more that getting preemptively defensive.

Congratz, I have a full time job and all that, and it took me an hour to learn and beat her.

Sorry but if it took you "many" hours to get through phase 1, which pretty much anyone should be able to brute-force through, you're just unreasonably bad.

For me Eigong is one of the best bosses in any game I played, specifically because of the intensity of phase 2 and 3, and any change you would propose would just make her worse.

Get filtered, and stop trying to make games worse because of your incompetence.

The game has a story mode where you can easily adjust the difficulty if you can't beat the boss on standard. Just use the features the game offers you instead of bashing RedCandleGames and other players in a whiney post.

The main difference between Eigong and other bosses is that you must (or better) use the charge parry. Once you accept this logic and the timing, P1 and P2 will be nothing.

In theory you could also choose normal ending, where Eigong gives up after phase 2. If you don't want too (which is likely), just take a break and relax, before redoubling your efforts. You have already reached phase 3, so beating it is just a matter of time and practice - and having mental fortitude. Don't go too hard on yourself and you should be fine.

This is a pretty funny one. Has the time to get all the way to the final boss, which probably takes 20+ hours, but doesn't have a couple hours to actually learn the boss.

Calm down, take a break, go back in with fresh mental and don't be distracted with thoughts of how fair or reasonable or whatever the fight is. Just focus on the fight itself.

C'mmon that is too aggresive to suggests those who enjoyed Eigong don't have a life and will definitely cause people to lose their patience to discuss the topic.

It took me 2.5 hours to memorize her moves and beat her. 1 hour yesterday and 1.5 hour tonight. Yeah I definitely don't have a life.

When you eventually win, I hope you don't get too embarrassed when you look back at this whiny tantrum that you posed.

I am really starting to be surprised by amount of people, who have absolutely legit in-game option to lower difficulty, but apparently this solution hurts their pride so much, that they prefer to blame developers. This is getting ridiculous.

I do personally think that Eigong is on the wrong side of difficult and veers into more annoying/frustrating than fun to fight.

For the first phase if you aren't already, I highly recommend you use the skull kick move to punish her and inflict internal damage every time she goes to talisman you. Then apply your own talisman for reliable damage.

In the second phase you really want to get your charged block down for the sword sweep attacks. It's always a pattern of "Charged Parry - Parry - Parry" then either a final Charge Parry or she charges you (either way a Charged Parry will save you). If you find yourself having a difficult time with this you can use the Cloud Piercer to knock her out of the stance so she switches to another move but this isn't ideal to use up if you have the third phase.

Third phase is ramped up, but you can actually just not be in the spot where she is doing her whole screen air slashes. Sounds stupid to say I know, but you get so used to parrying in phases 1 and 2 that it's easy to forget.

For people who keep saying "Just lower the difficulty/use story mode", yes this is an option. But I don't think it's unreasonable for someone who has played through the entire game up to the final boss in normal mode to want to finish the game in normal mode. It's a bit like reading an entire novel and then getting someone else to read the final chapter to you, it will feel like a disappointing cop out.

Because they know its doable they are just getting in their own way and getting frustrated. Funny with the context of the game by that point people are unwilling to change even their playstyles. Really I think the main issue is people are refusing to learn to use unbound counter when they need it.
Really people need to try just unbound counter jades vs Eigong to stack internal damage like crazy. Also doing the down attack on her more when she tries to charm I never see people doing that over a tai chi kick.

I have to agree with the difficulty spike. I loved the fight in the end and it took some time to get through, but the first impression was something. I would assume that most people got their cheeks handed to them quite fast on the first encounters.

Eignong is a fast boss, while the bosses prior are slow and you can deal with them at your own pace. So when players show up wearing sunglasses and chill vibe attidute after breezing through last bosses and areas, it is understandable to feel like the difficulty is out of the blue.

If a prior boss was on the same level as Lady Ethereal or getting to the last boss had some enemies on the way, I think people would have easier time adjusting to the fast pace boss combo vombo fight.
