No problems with any boss so far besides this one. Managed to beat him, but spamming adds never makes a good boss fight. Wish the 3rd phase was toned down a little on the spawning at the very least, it really feels like I won because of luck and not skill.

Yeah, I hear you on this one. It's mostly about randomly jumping around, using the bow to clear enemies, and hitting the boss whenever you can. Definitely quite chaotic and messy compared to most of the boss fights, and not my preferred style of fight.

For me that was actually, one of the easier bosses.
Just kill the mobs fast and then focus on him. Use the bow, if there are too many mobs running around

I agree that he is on the easier side, the difficulty isn't the problem as much as it's just not as interesting as the other bosses.
I agree and feel the same way about collector in hollow knight.

I definitely think this boss is all about adds which is the opposite of all the other bosses in the game where it's really about fighting them one on one. However, if you stay in the air the adds and the boss are trivial - charged attacks and bow shots when things get crazy really allow you to control the flow of battle.

You make it sound so easy, but the mobs spawn so fast that if you really want to kill them all, it's like... you have no time to hit the boss. Or maybe you can get 1 - 2 hits on the boss, then a new mob spawns. Plus he revives the big guy fairly regularly.

Use the thunder arrow to take care of the adds and boss at the same time. Boss was too easy.

I did't even felt this one was a boss, I had to search for Kanghui to remember him xD
also, like the comment above, thunder arrow is the key to cheese the fight, like Goumang.

not here to show off, it's just that some stuff might be easy for someone hard to another, like the final boss can be a cake for some people and confusing for others.

Considering you can't get the thunder arrow until after you fight Xingtian in the Warehouse when you're nearly to Yanlao, I very much doubt that most people will have it when they fight Guomang...and if you're doing that first you don't need cheese strats to go back and beat her

I fought Goumang after YanLao too, it's definitely possible. The farm and the warehouse are equivalent in terms of difficulties, and i found it more difficult to find my way around the farm, so I ended up leaving it for last.

It's kind of an old post but I agree. This fight especially shows a flaw in the design that it feels like a real oversight, the inability of sekiro-like mechanics to deal with groups enemies, particularly when they have attacks that you can only avoid by parrying. If a group of enemies decdie to attack at the same time and your in the wrong spot, it's pretty much death by RNG.
Especially annoying is that the big red guys have weird hitboxes that can only be avoided by parrying them. I swear I've dashed through they're overhead attack and still taken damage while I was behind them. I still am into the game but this whole section with the weird stealth and then this ganky boss has not been a highlight.
