Missing item - abandonned cave

Been doing the map cleanup before the final boss and noticed I have an item missing in this area (the same place you start the game, the little camp with red trees). I’ve scoured the tiny map from top to bottom, hugged every surface. can’t find any item there. Anyone can tell me where to check? The place is so small, I should’ve found it by now!

there's a quest where you have to kill a yellow snake in this cave, that's probably the item you're missing. i think you have to do Shennongs Quest for it. I don't know the exact requirements for it sorry (maybe giving him all the poisons?)

edit: did you save the village when it got attacked?

I went through the village right after that area and fought a bunch of guards then saved the villagers in the cell.

I gave every last poison to that npc already, got the achievement for it.
I have no quests left to do 🤔

Its the water near the path that goes to the Abandoned Mine.

You might have to rest a few times to get him to give you a quest to send you back to the villagers for some emergency after you helped them fight off the guards.

Go to the Galactic Dock, the leftmost room. You'll get the yellow snake quest from shaman.

I just re-did that quest, and Shennong didn't send me there, I went there on my own. So just try going and checking on the villagers.

I'm having the same issue, I've went back to the villagers and to Shennong and still can't find it.

So before you go fight the red sadistic boss, speek with the drunken man at hq, he will give you access to the village from the start (via an access card for the end of the mines'entry). Here you have to save the villagers and the shaman will give you some hog poisonous stuff. gIVE IT TO THE DRUNK MAN AND HE WILL ASK YOU TO HELP THE SHAMAN AND IT4S PEOPLE ONCE AGAIN. Sorry for the big letters. The shaman will then send you to hunt the snake and you'll be able to get the last item.
