hit again during hitstun?

am i doing something wrong? sometimes an enemy will land a hit, then i'll be hit again during the hitstun and killed, seemingly regardless of my parry input

am i just failing my parries in these instances or is there something else i should be doing

If you land a perfect parry you should be fine and retain full input control, there's also a skill you can get very early on that allows you to quick recover when you get knocked down so if you don't have that grab it pretty quick.

However, this game has no "downed" or "hitstunned" i-frames. You can and will sometimes just get juggled and killed it's happened to me about 4 or 5 times; mostly it's funny when this happens, you just watch your character get bounced along between enemies but it can be very aggravating when you are trying to get something done.
